Product Introduction

Material: natural iron, meteorite iron, Bhutan

Size: about 4.7 cm long

Description:

This phurba is an iron lock used in the iron bridge built by the Venerable Tangtong Gyalpo in Bhutan. After nearly 800 years of natural weathering and fracture, it was handcrafted one by one (because it is old iron, it cannot be melted and cast). From the collection of raw materials, production, to export, it must be certified by the state, and must be legal and reasonable. Counterfeiting is strictly prohibited. Therefore, the origin is extremely perfect.

In addition, Bhutan has already issued an order to ban the sale in 2017, so it will be increasingly difficult to find real iron in the future. There are already many fake Tangtong Gyalpo irons on the market. The price of real iron phurba is already very high.

The material of this phurba is the iron that Master Tangtong personally practiced to build the bridge. The iron comes from three places:

(1) Ten-direction iron, which is iron collected from the ten directions in the 15th century.

(2) Meteorite iron, meteorite iron.

(3) Hidden Iron. The iron taken from Master Tangdong’s knee can be considered a hidden treasure.

Vajra Phurba has great blessings. If you encounter demonic obstacles, practicing this method will definitely help you get rid of them. Now is the Dharma-Ending Age. People who practice diligently will encounter obstacles. If they do not practice, they will have no impact on Buddhism. They cannot save others, and they cannot liberate ordinary sentient beings. The demonic obstacles will not harm them and will not care about them. The more diligent you are, the greater the obstacles. However, if you practice this method, you will be able to overcome these demonic obstacles and get rid of these obstacles with the blessing of the Three Jewels. Therefore, practicing Vajra Phurba is very important. A few years ago, His Holiness the Dalai Lama also advised everyone to practice Vajra Phurba as the main deity. If you do not do this, there will be great obstacles in the precepts, especially for monks. Therefore, he advised everyone to practice Vajra Phurba (neckband) exclusively. After practicing this Vajra Phurba method, many people have achieved obvious results.

Vajra

Vajra was originally a cold weapon used by ancient Indians to break armor. Later, it was absorbed by Tibetan Buddhism as a ritual implement. It is made of various materials such as copper, silver, and wood. The appearance is similar, and they all have a sharp blade head, but the handles are decorated differently due to different uses. Some handles are Buddha heads; some are Guanyin Bodhisattva images, wearing a five-skull crown, and there is a horse head at the top. It contains the meaning of anger and subjugation. When practicing, it is set up at the four corners of the altar, which means that the temple is as solid as a diamond, and various demons and obstacles cannot come to harm.

The great master Tangtong Gyalpo was a famous monk of the Shangpa Kagyu sect. His life deeds are widely circulated and well-known in Tibetan areas. When he was young, his family was poor, and his parents sent him to Xiangjue Temple in the rear Tibet to become a monk. Later, he received the bhikkhu precepts from Huanjue Xirao at Duoduo Jiala Temple and was named Zunzhe Sangpo. He had learned new and old tantric teachings from many masters and practiced in a place called "Wen'er" for a long time. People praised him as "Zhibai Wangxiu Tangdong Gyalpo", which means "Achieved Free Tangdong King".

Tangdong Gyalpo had traveled to many areas in India, Kham, Tibet, and China. Seeing that people had difficulty crossing rivers, he raised funds to build bridges. It is said that he built 50 iron chain bridges and 60 wooden bridges in his lifetime. He was revered as the ancient Tibetan bridge designer and creator, and was called "Iron Bridge Master". Tangdong Gyalpo's source of funds for bridge construction mainly came from acting. It is said that he mobilized seven sisters named "Beina", two of whom played princes, two played hunters, two played celestial maidens, and one played percussion. Tangdong Gyalpo himself played drums and directed the group, creating the first Tibetan opera troupe in Tibetan history, named "Yalung Tashi Sheba". Tangdong Gyalpo personally wrote many Tibetan opera scripts that sang historical stories in the form of songs and dances, so he was revered by later generations as the "ancestor of Tibetan opera". To this day, whenever Tibetan monks and laymen cross a bridge or watch a play, they will naturally think of their master Tangtong Gyalpo. In terms of medicine, Tangtong Gyalpo also brewed a "white pill" that can cure all kinds of internal diseases and a "red pill" that can cure plague.

"Tangtong Gyalpo" records his deeds of controlling floods and building bridges, establishing a theater troupe, recruiting disciples to learn scriptures, and spreading Buddhism to benefit countless people throughout his life, which is recognized by all directions. Venerable Tangtong Gyalpo passed away in Leiwuqi, Kang region from the second half of the 14th century to the 15th century. He lived to be 125 years old and was the longest-lived master of Tibetan Buddhism.

Venerable Tangtong Gyalpo personally saw Amitabha Buddha, Amitayus Buddha, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Padmasambhava, Hayagriva... and other deities in his life, and was personally taught the Dharma, and achieved the rainbow body in this life. The Dharma affinity is special. Many practitioners who practice this Dharma have lived for more than 100 years. They can also eliminate the suffering of this world, increase blessings and prolong life, remove all obstacles to life, fulfill all wishes, and achieve the extraordinary accomplishment of being born in the Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha.

The Venerable built 58 iron bridges across the valleys and 118 rafts for crossing rivers. The Venerable often saw the Buddha, Padmasambhava, Green Tara and Avalokitesvara in his spiritual perception. The Bodhisattvas praised the Venerable's actions to benefit sentient beings and gave spiritual support and instructions. Through these instructions, the Venerable built countless Buddha statues, stupas and compiled books. He personally practiced the practice of body, speech and mind, showing unparalleled thinking and intelligence.

The Venerable passed away at the age of 125. His holy body is still intact and enshrined in Tibet. Therefore, he has become the most respected practitioner in holy places such as Bhutan, India, and Tibet. Countless Buddhist disciples enshrine the statue of the Venerable at home to remember his bodhisattva practice. Paying homage to the great accomplished Venerable can save people from the harm of the four natural disasters [earthquake, flood, wind disaster, and fire], and can also eliminate all obstacles to life span and physical illness. The Venerable can also bless the prosperity of career, wealth, power, and all good wishes will be fulfilled without hindrance, and other supreme merits and benefits.
